MUET (Malaysian University English Test) is a standardized English language proficiency test administered in Malaysia. It is typically used as a requirement for admission to undergraduate degree programs in Malaysian universities. The MUET test measures four components of English language proficiency: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. Each component is graded on a band scale of 0-6, with an overall band score calculated as the average of the four component scores. The test is administered by the Malaysian Examinations Council, and it is typically offered four times a year in Malaysia. The test is designed to assess the English language proficiency of non-native English speakers and to ensure that they have the necessary language skills to study at a university level.
