Cambridge English offers a range of exams for learners at the elementary level, which is typically equivalent to A2 level on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). These exams assess the four language skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking, and they are designed to help learners develop their English language proficiency for academic or professional purposes, as well as for personal enrichment. Cambridge English: Key (KET) assesses basic English language skills and is suitable for learners who have a limited knowledge of the language. It tests the ability to communicate in simple situations, such as ordering food or asking for directions.
