IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is an internationally recognized test that measures the proficiency of non-native English speakers in English language skills. It is widely used as a standard for language proficiency for immigration, work, and study purposes in English-speaking countries. There are two types of IELTS tests: the Academic test and the General Training test. The Academic test is suitable for those who want to study at a higher education level, while the General Training test is more appropriate for those who wish to work or migrate to an English-speaking country. The test consists of four sections: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. Each section is graded on a band scale of 0-9, with an overall band score calculated as the average of the four section scores. The IELTS test is administered by the British Council, IDP Education, and Cambridge Assessment English, and it is accepted by over 10,000 organizations worldwide. To prepare for the test, there are a variety of resources available, including practice tests, study materials, and courses.
